Bearing Encoders
MCG offers incremental bearing encoders for use on many of its motor series. These encoders offer higher-frequency response and more durability than conventional modular encoders due to its spring isolation and internal bearing. Models are available in both standard 3 channel units as well as commutation versions.

*NOTE: The “V” series encoder is only used on the AB23000 & IB17000 series motors.
These encoders are factory installed only, but may be easily replaced by an authorized MCG service center.
Modular Encoders
MCG offers a variety of incremental modular encoders for applications which require a smaller or more economical device. Modular encoders differ from the bearing encoders primarily in that they are mounted directly on the motors shaft and bearing assembly.
